A 56-year-old woman has died following a single vehicle crash in Ballinasloe this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision which occurred at around 10.20am at Lismanny, Laurencetown, Ballinasloe on the R355 Eyrecourt to Ballinasloe Road.
The woman was the sole occupant of the car.
Her body was removed to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem is due to take place.
Gardaí are asking anyone with information to come forward.
