Plans submitted to build 14 houses in Tuam

Plans have been lodged with Galway County Council for the construction of 14 houses on the western edge of Tuam town.

Coffey Construction Ltd is seeking planning permission for a residential development with a mix of detached, semi-detached, and terraced houses at Carrigweir, Tuam.

The site on the Weir Road is currently a vacant patch of grassy land adjacent to existing housing estate at Carrigweir.

The proposed development would consist of 4 detached, two-storey houses; 4 semi-detached, two-storey units; and 6 terraced, single-storey homes divided into two blocks.

Galway County Council is due to make a decision on this planning application by September 13.
