Headford Road crash sends one person to hospital

One person has been taken to hospital following a collision on the N84 Headford Road this morning.

The incident happened on the Curraghline section of the Headford Road.

A car and jeep were involved in a road traffic accident around 7:30am.

One person was taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway.

Traffic was down to one lane earlier while emergency services attended the scene, but the road has now re-opened.

However there is a still heavy traffic on the Headford Road as a tailback of roughly 10km built up back towards Clonboo.
