Headford Music Works to receive over €4,000 under music scheme

Headford Music Works will receive €4,692 under the Music Capital Scheme 2019.

The Scheme provides support for the purchase of musical instruments and responds to a broad range of capital needs within the music sector in Ireland.

Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon welcomed the announcement of €245,440 allocated to non-professional performing groups and individual talented musicians across the country.

Minister Cannon said: “The initiative is funded through Minister Madigan’s Department and I’m especially pleased that among the recipients are Headford Music Works,  with an allocation of €4,692, the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras, with an allocation of €2,017 and Foróige who receive €2,808.

“The Music Capital Scheme is designed to provide support for the purchase of musical instruments and to respond to a broad range of capital needs within the music sector in Ireland”.

Minister Cannon added: “It is vital that we support talented musical artists in getting access to proper musical instruments and I welcome the contribution it will make to the continued high standard of music that audiences in Galway enjoy”.
