Show that you really mean it this year when you say you’re going to stay active with the Resolution Run.
The Resolution Run is 5km flat run through the streets on Galway city on the morning of New Year’s Day.
There’s still time to register for this run winding right around the city centre, suitable for runners and walkers of all level.
The course goes from the Claddagh, across the Wolfe Tone Bridge, winding down Merchants’ road and the Docks, looping back round to Grattan road and the Prom, the finishing up an Nimmo’s Pier.
The race is AAI certified and has been officially measured, all registered participants will get their official time sent out to them via text.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Male and Female Senior , V40, and V50, and everyone will receive a souvenir gift to take home.
There is a €20 registration fee and the race is limited to 400 entries, so if you want to take part, get registered quick.
Race HQ is at Claddagh Hall at South Park where entrants can collect their race number between 9:30 – 10:45am on the morning of January 1.
The Resolution Run will kick off at 11am sharp from the starting line beside South Park.
Afterwards tea, coffee, and snacks will be available to all participant at the Claddagh Hall, and prizes will be handed out at 12:15pm.
Roads won’t be closed for the event, but marshals at every junction will keep runners safe from traffic.
