Gardaí investigating a serious assault on a woman in Salthill late last month are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Sometime between 7.30pm and 8pm on April 24 a young woman was the victim of an assault by another woman in Salthill Park.
Gardaí are anxious to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of the park on this date during this period and who may have witnessed this incident.
Acting Superintendent Brian Ryan of Salthill Garda District said, “Saturday April 24, was a fine day and there were a lot of people in the Salthill area enjoying the sunshine.
“We believe that there are people who may have witnessed this incident and may have information which will assist us with our enquiries”.
