Gardaí investigating shooting in Ballinasloe

Gardaí are appealing to the public for information after a shooting incident in Ballinasloe which damaged a house and van in Ballinasloe.

The shooting took place at approximately 3am on Sunday, December 22 at a house in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe.

The homeowner was sitting in the front room of the house when she heard two loud bangs around this time.

There was extensive damage to the porch doors and front door of the house, and damage to a van that was parked in the driveway.

No one was injured in the incident Gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to people who were in the Brackernagh area of Ballinasloe between the hours of  2:30am and 3am on Sunday morning.

Gardaí also wish to speak to any taxi drivers or other motorists who passed through or near the location and who may have dash cam footage.
