Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances of the discovery of a child with serious injuries this morning in Co. Clare.
The girl was discovered at a residence in Clarecastle, a village situated just south of Ennis in Co. Clare.
The child has been taken from the scene to Limerick University Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
