Gardaí are appealing for witnesses as part of the investigation into the death of a woman in Clifden on Thursday.
The body of a woman in her 30s was found near Galway Road, Clifden yesterday. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
Anyone in the Clifden area – in particular, Galway Road – between 2:00pm on Wednesday 27th May and 9:00am on Thursday 28th May 2026, who may have noticed anything suspicious is asked to come forward.
Road users and those with camera footage, (including home security and dash-cam), in the area at the time, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.

A man in his 30s remains under arrest and continues to receive medical treatment.
A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to the family of the deceased woman.
