Free bulky waste collection next week

Galway county council are oganising a free collection of bulky household waste at Maam Cross next week.

County householders can drop off bulky waste for free at Maam Cross Mart next Wednesday, September 25.

The collection will run from 10am to 1pm, but space is limited so it may finish before that time if capacity is reached.

Goods that will be accepted include rolls of carpet, couches, other furniture, etc.

Electrical or hazardous goods will not be accepted, nor will commercial, construction, or large bags of ordinary garbage.

Note that this service is for domestic households only a proof of residence and rubbish collection service may be required.
