Free bulky household waste collection in Gort next week

Galway County Council is organising a free collection of bulky household waste in Gort for next week.

County householders will be able to drop off their bulky household waste at Gort Mart on Saturday, September 7 from 10am to 1pm.

People are advised that there is limited capacity, and the event may finish earlier than 1pm if that is reached.

Goods that will be accepted include rolls of carpet, couches, and other furniture, while electrical items or hazardous waste will not be.

Trampolines or other toys, construction waste or bags of garbage will also not be accepted.

This event is for county householders only, proof of address and  waste collection service may be required.
