Extension to Gort Community Centre gets the thumbs up

Gort Community Centre has been granted permission for an extension and renovation that will provide more space for the local community.

Permission has been granted for the community centre in the townland of Lavally to build an extension to the building.

Renovations will also be done to the existing centre to provide more floor space and windows.

The gross floor space of the proposed works is 344sqm

The Committee of the community centre submitted the planning application to Galway County Council back in October.

The county council gave permission for the developement to go ahead with three conditions attached.
