University of Galway has climbed in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2023.

In the 2023 rankings, University of Galway has climbed into 301-350 category, up from the 351-400 category last year.

Ollscoil na Gaillimhe’s greatest strengths were in the areas of International Outlook, where it scored 82.8, and Citations, with a score of 71.2.

The lowest score given to the university was in the area of teaching, where it scored 29.7, but this has gone up consistently over the past decade.

The most highly placed university in Ireland remains Trinity College Dublin, which dropped 16 places to 161st in the newest rankings.
