A cyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a collision involving a car between Portumna and Woodford this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the crash at Powers Cross, Ballyshrule, Portumna on Monday morning.
The collision between a car and a cyclist occurred at approximately 6:15am this morning.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, has been taken to University Hospital Galway where he is being treated for serious injuries.
The road remains closed, and gardaí say that investigations ongoing.
