Gardaí are making a public appeal following a home invasion and burglary at a house in Craughwell which happened last Friday.

Shortly before midday on Friday, October 30, two men called to a man’s home in Craughwell, before forcing their way inside.

A small sum of cash and a mobile phone was stolen from the property during the burglary while the homeowner was present.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries, and Gardaí say that the man was shaken by the incident.

The two suspect men were seen leaving the house in a grey Toyota Avensis saloon car bearing the partial registration 07LK.

The car is believed to have left the property along the Craughwell to Labane Road travelling in the direction of Ardrahan.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen this car in the vicinity of Craughwell between 11am and 2pm on Friday and who may be able to assist Gardaí with their enquiries are asked to contact them.

In particular anyone who may have video footage, including dash cam footage, is asked to make contact with Gardaí.
