Garda appeal following St. Patrick’s Day robbery and assault

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a robbery and assault that occurred in Claregalway on St. Patrick’s Day last week.

Two young males walking near The Friary, Claregalway were robbed of a portable speaker by a group of between 10 and 15 young people.

One of the males was assaulted during the robbery, which took place at around 8pm on Wednesday last.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who was in the area around The Friary on St. Patrick’s evening last to contact them.
