A file is being prepared for the DPP in relation to a serious assault on a woman in Galway City.
A man in his late teens was arrested yesterday in connection with an assault on a young woman on Saturday, August 7.
The attack occurred in the Woodquay area between 11:45pm and 12:15am the next morning.
The man was detained yesterday at the Regional Headquarters in Murrough, and has since been released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
