City Council opens tenders for sheep and cattle grazing

Galway City Council is inviting tenders for sheep and cattle grazing on multiple plots of council owned land for the coming year.

Tenders for grazing at four plots for an 11 month period can be made to the city council until 4pm on Monday, September 2.

Tender documents should be submitted  in a sealed envelope marked ‘Tender for Grazing’, and the applicant must also have an appropriate certificate from the Local District Veterinary Office of the Department of Agriculture.

The four locations the city council is opening for tenders are:

  • Land at Castlegar                                                                8.13 Acres
  • Land at Carrowmoneash, Oranmore                               7.6   Acres
  • Land at Upper Dangan, Circular Road                             5.5   Acres
  • Land at Ballindooley Cross                                               1.11 Acres

The council is advising that it does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
