A Christmas tree recycling service will be provided from Tuesday next week in two locations in Galway city.
Galway City Council’s recycling service will be available between 9am and 3pm from Tuesday 3 January until Saturday 7 January, and also the Monday and Tuesday of the following week (9 & 10 January).
The service will be available at two city council Depots: Hunter’s Depot, Lough Rusheen on the Barna Road, and at Merlin Woods Depot in Doughiska.
The council is urging people to do their bit for the environment and dispose of their trees properly.
The service is available to domestic householders only.
