Cemetery Sunday parking restrictions in Bohermore

Cemetery Sunday is next week and the city council has warned that parking restrictions will be in place at Bohermore Cemetery for the event.

A special mass will be held for Cemetery Sunday in the Bohermore graveyard at 11am on Sunday, August 18.

Due to space restrictions, only vehicles carrying persons with special needs or displaying a Disabled Persons Disc will be permitted access to the cemetery grounds.

In addition, the gates will close to all traffic at 10am sharp for traffic management purposes.

The city council has said that for safety reasons no vehicles should leave the cemetery for 30 minutes following the Mass. This is to allow for pedestrians to exit first.

An additional Prayer Service will also take place at 5pm that evening.

The cemetery will be open until 9pm from Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16 to facilitate preparation for Cemetery Sunday.
