Galway Daily life & style support Pieta House by going to Elf

Galway’s Palás cinema are having a special showing of the 2003 Christmas hit Elf next month with all proceeds going directly to Pieta House.

A human baby raised as an elf, when Buddy finds out that he doesn’t really fit in at the North Pole (Get it… fit in? I kill me, or sleigh me I should say. please don’t stop reading) he goes in search in search of his real family.

Along the way he helps people find the meaning of Christmas and engages in what can only be called shenanigans.

See Will Farrell showing off his mastery physical comedy in a movie with a lot of heart for kids and people of all ages.

Pieta House provides freely accessible, professional services to people who are in suicidal crisis, those who are self-harming, and people who have been bereaved by suicide.

Here in Galway, Pieta House West operates out of Bishop street in Tuam proving free, compassionate care for people struggling with life.

The charity screening of Elf to support this incredible organisation will take place at the Pálás cinema at 6:30pm on December 10.

Tickets can be bought online or at the cinema on Merchants road lower.

(The author of this article spent more time trying to prove Elf can’t possibly have come out 15 years ago than he did writing it)
