Culture Night 2020 – county council seeks event ideas

Galway County Council is currently inviting applications from people who have an event they think would make a good addition to Galway County Culture Night 2020.

Culture Night will have its 15th anniversary this year when it takes place on Friday, September 18.

Though planning for the night is still steaming ahead, there are going to have to be changes from past events due to COVID-19.

This year the goal is to host “a mix of location-based attractions and digital delights,” the county council said.

“Planning with the theme of ‘Culture Night Re-Imagined’ firmly to the forefront, we are currently seeking proposals for digital and socially distant physical events for Galway County”.

Anyone who has an event of activity they think would make a good addition to the budding programme is invited to submit their application before Friday, July 17.

Any questions can be directed to the council by email at culturenight@galwaycoco.ie or by calling 091 509177.
