A man has been taken to University Hospital Galway after the car he was driving left the road at Lackagh Bridge and entered the water.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at in Turloughmore at 5am.
The vehicle collided with the bridge structure and damaged power lines which lead to a power cut in the area.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was taken to UHG for treatment for what are believed to be non-serious injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing.
