Two people were arrested in connection with drugs raids in Tuam this week where Gardaí seized more than €180,000 of cocaine.
Apart of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the area, Gardaí searched two locations in Tuam on Monday.
During the course of these searches Gardaí seized €183,000 worth of suspected cocaine, along with a sum of cash and a quantity of cannabis.
Two men, one in his 20s and another in his 30s, were arrested and are currently being detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region.
The searches were carried out by the Divisional Drugs Unit, along with local Drugs Units, the Armed Support Unit and two Dog Units.
The suspected cocaine and cannabis will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for examination. An Garda Síochána has said that this investigation is ongoing.
