Social Inclusion grants awarded to 26 community groups

A wide array of community groups working in Galway City have been awarded a total of €12,000 in Social Inclusion grants.

Mayor of Galway Mike Cubbard said that a total of 26 groups have been awarded monies under the Social Inclusion grant scheme this year.

Mayor Cubbard said online that these grants support groups in different fields which “promote equality, human rights, dignity, participation and inclusion”.

The full list of groups which have been awarded funding is:

  • €1,000 Our Lady’s Boys Club
  • €1,000 AMACH! LGBT
  • €1,000 That’s Life/Brothers of Charity
  • €800 Galway Contact
  • €650 Westside Resource Centre
  • €600 Red Door Studio
  • €500 St Joseph’s/Ability West
  • €500 Sea scouts
  • €500 Pernet CLG
  • €500 Galway Visually Impaired Activities
  • €500 Croí na Gaillimhe
  • €400 Shout! LGBT Youth Group
  • €400 Galway Autism Partnership
  • €400 Centre for Independent Living
  • €300 Simon Community
  • €300 Great Western Residents Group
  • €300 Merlin Woods Tennis Club
  • €250 ARD Family Resource
  • €250 Galway Integration Consortium
  • €225 NO 4 Youth Service
  • €200 Mental Health Association
  • €200 Nour-Al Amal
  • €150 Na Blath Creige Residents
  • €100 Coogan Park Residents
  • €100 Community Choir
