Gardaí are investigating the alleged assault and false imprisonment of a man at Ardrahan over the weekend.
Around 2pm on Saturday, August 29, Gardaí received a report of the discovery of a man with injuries at Castletaylor North, Ardrahan.
The man, aged in his 40s, was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the areas of Manninard and Castletaylor, Ardrahan, between 12:30pm and 2:00pm on 29th August and has video camera footage (including dash-cam), is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
