A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in a collision in Galway City on Monday morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred on the R339 at Briarhill this week.
A collision involving a car and a pedestrian occurred shortly before 8:10am on Monday, August 24.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported at the time. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling the R339 in the area of Scoil Mhuire, Briarhill between 7:50am and 8:30am on Tuesday 24th August 2026 are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
