Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange thunderstorm and rain warning for Galway and all of Ireland this afternoon.
The orange weather warning warns of flash flooding, power outages and very difficult travelling conditions.
“Thunderstorms and very heavy showers producing significant rainfall accumulations over short time periods.”
This thunderstorm and rain weather warning will be in effect until 6pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Galway has been under a near constant barrage of weather warnings since the sunny spell broke dramatically last week.
