The first-round proper of the 2018-19 Connacht FA Cup begins on Friday evening (26th October) when Moyne Villa host Knocknacarra in Headford.
Mervue United won this competition last season after beating Sligo’s Carbury FC 7-6 on penalties and will be among the favourites again this term.
Both teams have byes into the next round but 22 fixtures will take place featuring a host of Galway clubs.

There are six All-Galway league clashes. West Coast United at home to Colga, Moyne Villa at home to Knocknacarra, Corofin at home to Craughwell, NUI Galway will host Oughterard, West United B are at home to Corrib Rangers and Renmore are at home to East United.
Moyne Villa and Knocknacarra’s game kicks off at 7.30pm before there are four more games on Saturday (27th October).
Loughrea B host Ballina B, NUI Galway bring Oughterard to Dangan, West Utd B face Corrib Rangers in South Park, and Dynamo Blues travel to take on Swinford.
And on Sunday (28th October), there are 11 games featuring Galway teams. Renmore and East Utd commence the action in the morning before Corofin Utd host Craughwell Utd.
The rest of the games take place at 2pm with Colemanstown Utd travelling to Achill Rovers, Cois Fharraige welcoming Glenhest Rovers, and Kinvara Utd hosting Conn Rangers.
Renmore B and MacDara are away to Manulla B and Rahara respectively while Maree/Oranmore B host Snugboro United; St. Bernard’s face Cartron United FC in Abbeyknockmoy; Tuam Celtic entertain Glen Celtic; and Letterfrack is the venue for West Coast Utd vs Colga.
In total, there are 21 games with the winners advancing to the Last 32. Kiltullagh have already conceded their game to Benbulben FC.
