A woman in her 70s was brought to hospital earlier today after a road traffic collision on the N83 near Tuam.
Gardaí attended the scene of a two vehicle collision at Rusheen, Tuam which occurred at around 11:30am this morning.
The incident involved a crash between a car and a tractor.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 70s was taken to University Hospital Galway, though her injuries are understood to not be life threatening.
She was the only occupant of the car and Gardaí say that the driver of the tractor was uninjured.
The road remains open to traffic.
