A one day road closure will be in effect on the road between Gort and Portumna tomorrow due to roadworks taking place.
Galway County Council is carrying out resurfacing overlay roadworks on the R353 at Ballinakil on Friday, May 21.
In order to facilitate these works, the section of the R353 in question will be closed to traffic from 7:30am to 7pm tomorrow.
As a consequence, users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.
The works are being carried out by Lagan Asphalt Limited on behalf of the county council.
