Repairs to aging water mains in Galway city will cause traffic disruptions in Shantalla over this week.
Traffic in the westside is being affected by mains rehabilitation works Irish Water are carrying out on the network in Shantalla from today until Friday, May 3.
Work will take place from 9am to 4pm each day. Residents of Shantalla and the surrounding neighbourhoods may experience water outages.
A traffic management plan will be in place each day while work is taking place.
Residents who lose their water during the day are advised it may take 2 – 3 hours after work finishes before the full supply is restored.
