The City Council have said that emergency works are taking place on Monivea Road due to a burst watermain.
The works are taking place west of the school at Briarhill.
The Monivea Road is down to one lane and a Stop/Go system is in place.
Irish Water currently have crews on site working on repairs, however it is advisable that anyone who normally uses the Monivea Road considers alternative routes via N6/M6 and Tuam Road.
