Met Éireann has issued a warning for blight for Galway which will come into effect on Tuesday.
The forecasters say weather conditions conducive to the spread of potato blight will develop in many areas Tuesday through to Thursday.
There will be opportunities for spraying today, Sunday September 4.
The Met Éireann warning applies to all counties in the Republic.
