Monivea National School is in the running for a prestigious architectural award along with educational facilities in Paris, Toulouse, Dublin and London.
The school is one of 32 projects shortlisted for the Public Choice Award in the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland Awards 2020.
Voting ends on 3 July, and Minister Ciarán Cannon has encouraged people to support the school by voting on the official RIAI website.
Minister Cannon said that he is delighted that the school has been shortlisted for the Award and he said he was privileged to speak at the opening of the school in October of last year.
“I congratulate all in the school on being nominated for this award and look forward to continuing to support the staff, students and local community in the years ahead,” he added.
