Residents in Roscahill, Killannin and the surrounding areas will be without a supply of water this evening and tonight.
The water outage will begin at 8pm today, Thursday, and end at 4am on Friday morning.
Galway County Council says that the outage will occur to allow for leak detection works on the water main network.
The affected areas will be near Ross Lake at Roscahill and Killannin, halfway between Moycullen and Oughterard.
Galway County Council and Irish Water have apologised this morning for any inconvenience caused by this evening’s necessary works.
