The reimagining of the old Loughrea Town Hall has taken a step forward with the appointment of a design team for the project.
Galway East TD Sean Canney has said that a design team has now been appointed, following on from the county council advertising for tenders in late May of this year.
“This is positive news for Loughrea following the successful outcome with funding under the Rural Regeneration Scheme.
“I welcome this positive step forward following my efforts in having the €1.6 million funding put in place.
“This building is an iconic project for Loughrea and will ensure that Loughrea Town Hall is brought back to life. I look forward to the project progressing under the guidance of Aughey O’Flaherty Architects and their team.’
