Galway City Councillor Owen Hanley has encouraged women to highlight areas of Galway City that feel unsafe while they are out walking or running.
Cllr Hanley said that over the past few weeks, women have sent him details of parts of their daily walks that they feel are not safe enough.
Among the issues highlighted were hedges that were too high, blindspots, or lights that should have been fixed.
He said that he will bring these areas to the attention of the council.
