Residents in multiple areas across North Galway are experiencing water outages which will last until this evening due to a burst water mains.

Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Headford, Kilconly, Ratesh, Shrule, Liss, Logawannia, Rockwood, Shrule Road, Ballyfruit, Cloghanower, Keekill and surrounding areas in Galway.

Repairs are taking place to the main between Carheens and Caltra Cross, and are currently expected to be completed by 7pm on Wednesday evening Irish Water has said.

People affected by these water outages are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours after work is completed for their full water supply to be restored.

Updates on both situations can be found on Irish Water’s Supply and Service website page, or by contacting Irish Water’s twitter account @IWCare.
